"Digital Techniques to Archive and Repair Old Photographs"

This presentation focuses on restoring vintage photographs, high quality scanning techniques, how to setup an archive of photography for historic and genealogy purposes, along with how to label and identify the people in your images.

Janet is a senior research psychologist at SRI International in Menlo Park who has a combined research & editing background. She was a writer and editor for newspapers and magazines before getting a Ph.D. in experimental psychology and focusing on health behaviors. She and her husband Richard Rands are on the board of the Silicon Valley Computer Genealogy Group, a nonprofit group of about 600 family history enthusiasts.
