Special Program: Wed Aug 26, 2009

"Showcasing A Body of Photos through Digital Slide Shows"

The program is an evening of members showing a body of their photographic work via the medium of digital slide shows. The impetus for the program is the feeling that it is often frustrating, both as a photographer and as a viewer, to be able to see/show only one or two unrelated images per night as we do in competition evenings. This slide show program night will allow us as photographers to showcase a collection of work to the club and have our images tell a story or illustrate a theme.

As viewers, we will be able to experience the effects of different slide show techniques and, more importantly, gain further appreciation of the intent and depth of our fellow members' work. After each presentation, co-president Philippe Cailloux will facilitate a short conversation with the maker and the audience, looking at such aspects as the artistic vision, slide show techniques, and highlights.

Members scheduled to present slide shows are Vardan Aroustamian, Leonard Brzezinski, Lynda Heiden, Bill Jackson, Etsuko Kaizuka, Michael Kern, Shinnan Kiang, Judy Kramer, Marianne McKissock, Laurie Naiman, Branko Radonjic, Emmanuel Rondeau, Carl Rosendahl, Dany Suk, Radka Tezaur, and possibly a few others. Presenters should bring their slide shows on a USB flash drive (or CD or DVD). The slide shows should be executable on the club's PC or Judy Kramer's Mac laptop.

Questions should be sent to Judy Kramer at "jahkramer AT aol DOT com"
