Dick Johnson's 2007 Photo Gallery
| "The beginning of a serious interest in photography started when I first saw the prints of Ansel Adams in 1947. The beauty of his images prompted me to go out and purchase an old Speed Graphic Camera, a few filters and a book about the Zone System. It cost me a week of eating but it was one of the best investments I ever made. Photography has given me an opportunity to record many of the things that I care about. In particular, I love the historic sites and structures from the old west that are rapidly disappearing from the landscape. I find a great deal of beauty in these things, and I hope to continue finding that beauty with my camera for as long as possible. " |
