"I am drawn in particular to two distinct, but often interwoven, aspects of photography.
The first is the process of capturing a moment: portraying the essence of an event, an experience or an emotion. Preserving for those there, and providing for those not, that ephemeral sense of time and place. In a word remembering.
The second is the process of discovering and sharing the visual richness of the world around us. Observing and relating the colors, shapes, textures and patterns that dance wildly around us or lie quietly in wait. In a word, revealing.
In short, it is the process of recognizing and recording the often fleeting glimpses we have into the vibrancy of our lives and the world around us.
