DAN QUINN's Photo Gallery

"Still photography is a way to frame and freeze a moment in time, to note one particular thing. With camera in hand, I can narrow my focus and still my breath, focusing entirely on the image-to-be. This sharpens my perception for other times also.

Photography practice prepares me technically to respond to moments of magic and luck, which I gratefully welcome. I am especially drawn to nature, early in the morning. Other times and occasions also find me with camera in hand. Sharing images makes me happy.

Digital technology works for me. I use a Nikon D70, plus a Nikon Coolpix 5000 for wide angles. I use Photoshop sparingly. I treasure representations of reality, more than patterns on paper or screen."
