"The great majority of photographers know that film or digital recordings do not depict reality and there is not such a thing as realistic photography, Still images are lies. Photography is only an interpretation of reality, and what we obtain is a flat two-dimensional representation of a three-dimensional situation. But when we are able to add to this result aesthetic qualities, technical ability and emotional input, we end up with something good, or beautiful, or exceptional, but not real.

Once a cynic asked yogi Paramahansa Yogananda after a lecture "But master, is all what you said real?"

And Yogananda replied "Ask not if it is real but if it works, and if it works it matters not if is real."

For me, after all, art is a delightful lie that helps me to perceive only a notion of what truth is."
