MEETINGS
- Where? At Palo Alto Art Center, 1313 Newell Rd (as of April, 2006)
- When? The third Tues of every month, except September and December (see schedule)
- Which medium? Digital alternating monthly with Prints. (see schedule)
- Time? Arrive no later than 7:15 pm to allow time for signing in entries. Meeting starts at 7:30 pm
- Each club rotates responsibility for providing refreshments and personpower (check schedule)
- The annual competition covers entries from Sept. through the folowing Aug.

- Pictorial color- levels A & B
- Monochrome
- On certain months (as specified in Calendar of Events) - one of the following categories is also acceptable - Travel, Nature, Creative. In months where one of these special categories is not being offered, such prints may be entered as "walk-ins" in the pictorial category, provided they have strong pictorial qualities.)
- DIGITAL
- Pictorial Color - A & B
- Monochrome (beginning May 2007)
- Special Category - (as in Prints above, and shown on Schedule)
RULES FOR ENTRY
Entries may qualify in 2 ways - either as winners during our club's monthly competitions, or as 'walk-ins'. Read on.
- Monthly winners
- PRINTS - first and second place winners in Pictorial (A & B) from each PACC meeting, and one third-place Pictorial winner (chosen by the MPPA rep) - for a total of 5 entries every two months. These are given to the MPPA rep (or brought to the meeting by the member). If the member has the print in their possession they must enter their dtata on the yellow label (blank labels are available at MPPA meetings, or downloadable here).
- DIGITAL - Images are selected by digital chair and sent to the MPPA club responsible for that meeting
- In the event the next meeting for slides or prints takes place beyond one month, the member will be asked to retain their image(s) and give it/them to the MPPA rep just before or at that meeting.
- 'Walk-ins" - each member may walk in ONE print (total) in any of the categories being judged that evening (no longer one per category); this applies regardless of whether the image has been previously shown at PACC. (Members MUST be present for walk-ins.) However, with prints, an image in another category may be entered as a Pictorial, provided it has strong pictorial qualities. The member is responsible for filling out the yellow labels and entering the image data on the club's master entry form. All entries and forms must be received by 7:35 pm.
- As of Jan 2008, walk-ins are also possible for digital competitions. The file must comply with the standard PACC specs for digital images, and may be either on a CD or a 'pocket USB drive'. A Walk-in Entry Form should be completed and brought with the image file.
RETURN OF ENTRIES TO MAKERS WHO ARE NOT PRESENT AT THE MPPA COMPETITION
The MPPA rep will see that entries are returned to the maker, either at the next club meeting or as arranged individually.
