Gotcha, an image by Lisa Erdberg, was selected by the Southeast Center for Photography in Greenville, SC, for inclusion in its Flora and Fauna Exhibition. SE Center solicited images of flora of all types, from a single stem to a vast landscape, formal to wild; and images of fauna, whether it walks, flies, crawls, slithers, or swims. Darrell Gulin, a Canon Legends Photographer and past president of the North American Nature Photography Association, was the juror. The exhibition will be shown in SE Center’s virtual gallery and will run from May 1 through May 30.
Lisa says: I had just about given up finding birds on the Crissy Lagoon when I turned around and saw this Great Blue Heron hunting on the airfield. I was lucky to capture the entire sequence, from the moment it snatched the vole in its burrow to when it flew off to enjoy its breakfast away from the prying eyes of a nosy photographer.
