What’s for Breakfast?, an image by Lisa Erdberg, was selected for inclusion in the Animal Life Exhibition at the Praxis Gallery and Photo Arts Center in Minneapolis. This exhibition brings together photographic work that honors the complexity, beauty, and individuality of animals across species and environments.Through quiet observation, environmental portraiture, documentary approaches, and experimental interpretations, it presents diverse perspectives on how humans encounter and represent the living world. The exhibition was curated by Praxis directors. The exhibition runs from May 23 through June 13; and the opening reception will place on Saturday, May 23. If you love animals – and who doesn’t – you can view these images in the temporary online gallery, here: https://www.praxisphotocenter.org/temp-gallery-1-2ab3.
Last summer, Lisa went on a photography trip to Lake Clark National Park in Alaska to photograph brown bears. She says: This was one of the first photos I shot on our first day there; I loved the bear’s wistful expression.
