Images by Nadine Levin and Judy Kramer Selected for Art Bias Exposition

Images by Nadine Levin and Judy Kramer were selected for inclusion in Snapped 2026, the photography exposition by Art Bias in San Carlos. This open-call exhibition of photographic creativity is specifically focused on digitally-captured and/or analog film-captured images based on the photographer’s broad interpretation of fine art images. Jurors were Natalie Saprykina, a Bay Area art advisor and founder of White on White Gallery, and Michael Endicott, a fine art photographer based in San Francisco. The exhibition runs from August 2 through August 27, and the opening reception will take place on Sunday, August 2, from 1:00 to 2:30 pm during First Sundays Open Studios. The exhibition features images by 50 artists in the gallery and an additional 30 artists in the expanded online exhibition, which also opens on August 2.
Nadine says about Resonance in Silver: It is a film image shot on a Diana F camera. I took the photo in the Dogpatch area of San Francisco while walking past a tire store. I noticed the circular patterns of the way the tires were on the racks and made a double exposure while moving the camera. Thus, an abstract emerged from the scene in front of me.

Judy’s image is Greenland Sails, which was taken the last afternoon of her 10-day voyage in Scoresbysund, Greenland, last September. The photographers and the crew raised the sails, and then the photographers went out in zodiac rafts to catch sails in the late afternoon sun. "I was working to get the sun star in the image and was surprised to find three reflections of the sun stars in the photo. I loved the soft afternoon light." Judy has two additional images in the online exhibition, Great Gray Owl and Misty Morning on Lac LeJeune.

Art Bias has empowered hundreds of artists on the Peninsula since 1993, providing them with the tools and resources they need to thrive; in turn, adding vibrancy and creating social change in our community. With 51 artist studios for rent, Art Bias is the largest community of artists on the Peninsula. It was recently featured in The San Francisco Peninsula Magazine, Issue #2, 2026. Open studios take place every first Sunday of the month from noon to 4 pm.
