Off Broadway, an image by Wright Schickli, was selected by the Southeast Center for Photography in Greenville, SC, for inclusion in its Abandoned Landscape Exhibition. Rural or urban, desert or jungle, ancient to recent – the SE Center sought photographers who appreciate the ravages of time and create compelling images reflecting those effects around us. Michael Pannier, Executive Director of the SE Center, was the juror. The exhibition will run from September 15 through October 30 in the SE Center’s virtual gallery. Wright says: This abandoned factory lies about two blocks off Broadway in my hometown of Louisville. I’ve been back several times over the years, and most of the structures are still there, in the heart of downtown. I was fortunate to have interesting clouds on this particular visit.
